The short version
We're a small team building Summon. Right now the only thing we collect is what you type into our waitlist — your email, whether you're a player, Game Master, or game store, and optionally your city — plus basic info about how you found us. We use it to tell you when the beta or your city opens. We don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.
1. Who we are
Summon is built by Code Boys, a software company based in Birmingham, Alabama. In this policy, "we," "us," and "Summon" mean Code Boys.
2. What we collect
Waitlist info you give us: your email address (required), the role you select (player, Game Master, or game store), and your city (optional).
How you found us: basic attribution data, such as the referring website and any campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you clicked. We store this to understand where sign-ups come from.
We do not currently collect payment information, and we don't run invasive tracking. The site uses minimal browser storage to remember how you arrived — that's the extent of it.
3. How we use it
To notify you when the beta or your city opens; to understand and improve our outreach; and to reply if you contact us. That's the whole list.
4. What we don't do
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we won't send you unrelated marketing.
5. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the site — for example, our hosting and database providers and an email service we use to reach you. They process data on our behalf and aren't permitted to use it for anything else. We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep waitlist information until you ask us to remove it, or until it's no longer needed for the launch.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time by emailing us at hello@getsummoned.app. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
8. Children
Summon is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online service can be perfectly secure.
10. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
